Here's a great cold weather breakfast to give you the boost you need for that busy day. Packed with vegetarian sourced protein + dietary fiber + antioxidants + omega 3's + and much more! 

Good for you should and can taste good! 

Start your day with gratuity, some stretching, a smile, and a warm bowl of the best oatmeal/porridge your mom never made you! Rolled Oats + Red Quinoa + Chia Seeds + Almond Milk + A Pinch of Sea Salt + Your Favorite Topping (mine is a bourbon and spice infused maple syrup)

Warm Quinoa-Chia Seed Oatmeal with Bourbon Maple Syrup



​Basic Recipe Breakdown:

4-5 servings

Ingredients:
​2 cups rolled oats
2 cups quinoa (pre par cooked - saves time)
1 cup chia seeds
3 cups hot water
3 cups almond milk
1 pinch kosher or sea salt
1 pinch ground cinnamon
2 tbsp turbinado sugar (optional)
Maple Syrup or topping of your choice (optional) (Topping ideas range from raisins and toasted almonds to apricot preserves or fresh figs. Let your imagination and taste buds be your guide.)

Method:
-In a medium sauce pot -->
-Place Oats + Quinoa + Water + Milk --> Bring to a boil then turn heat to low.
-Simmer on low heat for 9-12 minutes or until the oats become tender.
-Add chia seeds and all remaining ingredients.
​-Cook on low for another 2-3 minutes - the mixture should start to thicken by now.
-Finish with topping of your choice.
